the gate holds

Brian Stoker
@brian-stoker
A lone stone gate on a dark misty plain, cold blue light glowing through its opening.

selfactor

  • governance: put real gates on the planning pipeline. an intent classifier keeps planning read-only, a judge only promotes a plan once it is actually good enough to start coding, and an adversarial reviewer runs down agents that try to quit a task early. retired two repo-wide identity gates that were blocking the wrong work.
  • project engine: drove the selfactor artifacts project toward feature complete. its PRD went through contract review, artifact management and charter review landed, then hosted, versioned, sandboxed artifacts with session feedback, producer-only writes, and a guard against the write race. the repo-hosted project view is back, and i audited a 39-day-old project that had auto-prioritized itself.
  • landing: main is protected with explicit refspecs so a lander branch cannot move it, completion evidence for dev-complete and landing is verified in the api and the cli, and the lander stopped misreporting a work item it never finished. ported the truth into it too: exact-head trailers, force-release for unknowns, a read-only explain, heartbeat stop, and a re-entry guard on finished work. it still stalled often enough that i unstuck it by hand more than once.
  • build fabric: made the machine-wide build opt-in and went after why build steps rebuild more than they should. also fixed a deploy-main break where the artifacts spec imported a constant across a boundary it should not have.
  • cli and install: a standalone gh-axi installer, vendored skill versions resolved from the latest release, legacy env vars stopped leaking into agent sessions, quieter menubar accounting rows, and provider launches over stdin transport fixed.

gdock

  • read-only gdock landed with a shared details review and a repo-group left rail. durable sessions got real: attach-client exit is now a plain UI detach, and the continuity harness runs end to end on an isolated tagged app. still not running real work in it; the builds keep killing it, and it crashed again and took a couple of unsent sessions with it.

selfagents

  • desktop: refined the pane layout and participant typeahead, a corrected round-7 mockup, and corrected the hermes integration after it had landed the wrong way.

rr

  • back up and running locally again: isolated snapshot setup, trusted local https, signed dev sessions, session refresh fixed, media records repaired and placeholder junk cleared, search regressions run, and an isolated local runner for deploys.
