the shape of the gate

Brian Stoker
@brian-stoker
A flooded stone cloister of pointed arches, a thin line of blue light stretched through them above dark water.

selfactor

contracts

  • contract review phase 1 landed, with contract verification steps and project charter scope
  • one round was contract-only, adding assertions for the self-research review

projects

  • self-research cleared validation waves all day and went dev-complete repeatedly without landing
  • the approved artifact design reached dev-complete, an artifact home for selfactor started, and the brain index merged

landed

  • self project start --dry-run no longer launches
  • terminal supervision keeps terminal task outcomes and logs engine exit reasons

waiting to land

  • trace playback shows readable output with playback provenance
  • accidental project hydration moved out of the checkout, and repo-wide cli quality gates were unblocked
  • assertion family parsing fix complete, waiting on the lander

gates

  • one stall was not a stall: the queue read failed and the gate reported a non-empty queue, while a missing workload token sits in front of real items

gdock

  • standalone: gap analysis against the prd for a web build and an electron app, then windows and linux, none of which need ghostty or tmux; scoped for now to the repo left sidebar
  • sidebar icons: worktree closed and open plus two work-item marks, drawn to the 32px grid with the git icon's corner radius, reviewed at 16px in a mock list

selfagents

  • configurable chat line creation started on its own task branch, blocked before live verification on build assets and a launchd guard failure

mixer

  • drift: a one percent speed correction against buffer fluctuations, under heavy host load, is the likely cause of the slow-down and offset
    • nothing changed yet; next is logging buffer levels and correction rates during an episode
  • an opt-in pause when audio struggles proposed: fade out, suspend processing, retry after twenty seconds with a short fade in
