  • replaced a wait for an idle machine with a hosted image call
    • scripts/grok_image.py requests one 1280x720 frame and returns in about fifteen seconds, off this host, so a post gets its picture without warming a local generator
    • the hero step tries that route first and keeps the idle-gated local fallback for when the call fails
  • rewrote the daily plan rules so the two entries on the feed stop sharing one fate
    • my entry publishes every morning on its own; the other entry waits as a draft until it is approved
    • the card description is two sentences about what resolved, not a list of topics
    • tags are applied by plan_tags.py from the body text instead of chosen by hand, since naming a product is the whole test
  • published the previous day's entry on the selfactor lander, where reads kept agreeing the queue was empty while the classifier reported a backlog, and the real blocker was a workload key the server refuses to mint
  • wrote down two rules that had cost hours, in the skills that will need them first
    • a queue that reads empty while a classifier calls it full is a failed read, and a second read that agrees counts for more than a summary that sounds confident
    • a deploy killed mid-run leaves an app lock, and the unlock only counts when it runs through the site environment wrapper rather than a bare dotenv call against a different state bucket
